Art of Change.
As part of the British Art Fair at Saatchi Gallery, Art of Change is a live auction created by WaterAid where art pieces were donated and sold in order to help communities affected by Climate Change.
Women in the City Billboard.
As part of exhibition, Found Cities, Lost Objects: Women in the City, Lubaina Himid CBE selected three Birmingham-based artists to respond to the show and create new artwork for billboards in and around Birmingham. Haseebah was one of the artists that was selected to create a billboard.
Best Seat in the House.
Best Seat in the House is a project in collaboration with Rankin photography and WaterAid bringing awareness to the lack of toilet seats for school girls in developing countries and the current sanitation crisis.
Drawing Connections.
Drawing connections is a series of illustrations that visually narrate the stories of Balsall Heath residents including her own. The collection is the first of Haseebah’s drawings to be exhibited and celebrated the rich history and culture of Balsall Heath.
Contemporary Art Space.
Contemporary Art Space is a project created by RSA Academies and Iniva Arts to get contemporary art into school spaces. Haseebah was one of the three artists picked to create a body of work that would be installed in a school and thus created a collection of Lino prints to centred around oracy and identity.
Syrie.
‘Syrie’ is a project that is based on the Syrian refugee crisis. This body of work began from her final major project at university when the refugee crisis arose in the headlines. The work is split into three series, dry points, a4 lino prints and a5 lino prints. This work highlights the people involved in the crisis, focusing on their displacement and their emotions rather than the political opinions related to it.
Islamic Art.
During Haseebah’s print residency at BCU she created a series of 3 to 4 colour lino prints which depict the geometrical foundations of the more intricate Islamic Art patterns you might see today. The rich colours and multiple layers are reminiscent to the Islamic architectural structures of today.
