Best Seat in the House.
Best Seat in the House is a collaboration between Rankin and WaterAid bringing awareness to the millions of people who go without a toilet everyday. Haseebah was one of the artists chosen to design a toilet seat which elaborated this. For her design she wanted to highlight the current sanitation crisis where school girls have had to skip school whilst on their period due to no access to a toilet. Her seat compares the difference between good water hygiene and bad water hygiene and how that can feel like in a visual language. Haseebah has used her printmaking knowledge to create her toilet seat design by using a dry point etching style and block ink.
